MB W204 220 CDI 179PS - Multiple System Failures and Poor Acceleration | MERCEDES-BENZ

First the ASR malfunction message appeared, followed by the tire pressure monitoring system malfunction message. Then the engine control light came on. Poor throttle response. Normal acceleration from approx. 2000 rpm. Kick-down does not work... OBD readout unsuccessful... I am grateful for any tip.

This part was installed and was defective. It didn't actually belong there. Removed and thrown in the trash. Now everything is OK again. This is a "Power Pedal Chip"...you can achieve the same effect with the "Sport" button.

Have you done a complete vehicle scan? There must be some error codes stored if a warning light is on.

You won't get anywhere by reading out the OBD. Have the vehicle read out with a suitable diagnostic device. If ABS and the engine control light are on, you have definitely stored errors

Have the car read out with the Star Diagnosis. That's the only way you'll get ahead.

Hello, I remember an acquaintance also having this problem. In his case, it was the brake light switch. After replacing this switch, the problem was solved

Does it often happen during overtaking maneuvers? Especially under sudden full load? Some W204s had problems with the accelerator pedal potentiometer... new software or even a new accelerator pedal is the solution. But it's not covered by goodwill... only with a warranty. In my case, however, it was an interrupted DPF regeneration.
