ESP/ABS errors after replacement of ABS control unit | RENAULT
Already checked
Error codes read with Renolink and Delphi: ESP error code 50c3 or DF017 ABS control unit defective. ABS control unit replaced and taught in, but errors remain. ESP triggered briefly before error occurred.

Gelöschter N. It would be nice if the explanation of the codes was also there, it makes it much easier for us. Also as a tip for the future.
OpenRene DF017 50C3 10c3 is an internal control unit error
Rene Hi Sven, just to be clear, you checked all the wheel speed sensors with the oscilloscope and the signal was always perfect. Then you checked the CAN data bus for the drive, the single signals were perfect, communication in the data bus on both data lines okay. Finally, you completely replaced the ABS hydraulic unit including the control unit with an original part (not repaired or similar). Then programmed it with the Renault tester and completely saved it (no more errors were stored afterwards). Then you completely bled the block using a tester with an electronic brake bleeder. And after the test drive, the same errors are back?
Gelöschter N. The control unit must be programmed and configured by the dealer. This is only possible with a new CU. Used ones will not work.
OpenSven H. Hi Rene, I used Delphi and Renolink to read the wheel speed sensor while driving, and all 4 showed the same speed. The hydraulic unit and control units that were installed are used parts of the same type as what was installed originally. Programming the ABS control unit works with Renolink. Errors can be cleared, but as soon as the diagnostic device disconnects, the error is immediately back. The CAN bus line was tested with an oscilloscope. And the brakes were bled with an electric bleeder.
Rene You will have to install a new ABS hydraulic unit and have it programmed at Renault, then the error will be gone. You will also have to bleed it with the tester so that the hydraulic unit properly bleeds the individual valves.
1André B. I would guess the "pre-charge pump" or its carbon brushes on the motor, as it is usually mounted on the hydraulic unit and has not been replaced, the ABS ESP failed when it intervened... Two defective control units are possible, but the probability is low....
Gelöschter N. I don't trust this software; please have the whole thing checked by a Renault workshop; they have the right equipment for it; I'm just speaking from experience. If you bought the new unit used, it is possible that the same fault is present there. When programming the control unit, a connection to a Renault server is sometimes required, which you don't have with your software.
