Alexander W. I would remove the side panels in that area and try to locate the noise exactly. Depending on that, you have to see how you can eliminate it.

OpenRene F. Do you have a panoramic sunroof?
1Horst M. No!
Horst M. Hello, I was able to eliminate a creaking noise. However, another similar noise has appeared about 10cm next to where the previous noise was fixed. I can locate it quite precisely. But at this point, I can't bend any sheet metal away from the rubbing point because it's already touching the roof. Isn't there some kind of foam that I can use to secure it, or something similar? The noise depends on the outside temperature. Depending on how warm or cold it is outside, the dull knocking/cracking in the C-pillar becomes more pronounced when driving over uneven surfaces. Thanks, regards.
OpenHorst M. Mr. Wolf, do you have another suggestion or idea what I can do about the knocking/cracking noises I described to you? Thanks, regards.
Horst M. Could you please help me further with the 2nd problem? Thanks, regards
Horst M. Which foam would be best suited here? Regards
Horst M. Mr. Wolf, which foam would be best suited here? Or can a workshop do that? Does any workshop do that? Thanks, regards
Alexander W. You should check with a body shop about that. They have insulating foam for the roof area. They may be able to do it for you.
Horst M. Thanks, is it perhaps a foam like the one shown in the picture?
Horst M. In other words, this foam decouples the metal sheets from each other.
Horst M. Or?
Alexander W. It is possible, but it could also be a damping foam used to stiffen body parts, such as bonding side panels. Your best contact here would be a bodywork specialist who can advise you.
Horst M. Thanks! Regards

I found the problem in the C-pillar; two reinforcing plates were rubbing. I bent one plate away, and lo and behold, no more creaking! Thanks, regards.
