Water ingress on the passenger side | VW

Hello, I have a question because I have water ingress on the passenger side below the dashboard.

The water runs out in the passenger compartment just next to the center console and into the footwell, and there is a lot of it and it is very clean, so no coolant or anything like that.

The plenum chamber in the engine compartment has already been checked for blockages, but the drains are all clear.

Already checked

The user reports water entering the passenger compartment on the passenger side, near the center console and footwell. The water is clean and not coolant. The plenum chamber drains have been checked and are clear.

Does the car have a sunroof? Often the drains are clogged and then the water ends up in the footwell!

Check the plenum chamber for blocked drains. Check the cabin air filter for moisture.

It could also be condensation from the air conditioning. Check the drain hose.

If it runs in the middle, the A/C drain is working.

Have you had a new windshield recently?

I had the same problem with my Passat back then; the pollen filter housing was leaking.

There is a strip on the right side of the windshield, usually with rubber holders. In my case, just remove the trim on the A-pillar, it's just two steps. Then have one person watch from the inside while another pours water along the windshield.

Hello, where can I find the drain hose?

If you have a lift, take a look from below..... Otherwise, looking at a spare parts program sometimes helps, e.g. www.7zap.com or www.catcar.info.....

    If it is raining heavily?

Clean the water drains in the plenum chamber.

Replace the pollen filter, it is full of water.

Water drains are located under the wiper cover.

Check the drain in the engine compartment (under the windshield wipers); if it is clogged with leaves, etc., water may leak into the interior.
