Re-registration after long decommissioning | FORD

Hello, my Ford Probe has been deregistered for 12 years, so do I have to do a complete inspection? And what about the parts that are registered, such as headers, springs, etc.? I don't have any papers because the car had water damage and everything is gone. I can't get the papers anymore or I can't find them.

Do you not have papers for the car, or papers for the registered parts?

If you still have the old papers for the car with the entries, it should "actually" be no problem to take them over again during the full acceptance test.

That should be an approval according to §40 StVZO 🤔. You also have to apply for a certificate of no objection at the registration office (that the car is not stolen). You have to request papers for the conversions from the individual manufacturers

I have the vehicle registration and other documents, but not for the registered parts.

I only have vehicle documents for the parts that have been registered.

All the entries are in the vehicle registration document... I'm pretty sure that's enough... Nevertheless, you need the papers for the parts, at the latest when you are stopped by the police and everything is questioned... You know how it is

Okay, thanks, then I need to take care of it

You can get the papers for an extra charge at the registration office. You have to present it there to give it up for registration, if it does not even come to an individual approval.

But he has the car's papers!!!

It's still in there, so it shouldn't be a problem. It's best to ask your TÜV inspector.
