Upgrading SMEG Peugeot Multimedia System | PEUGEOT 308 CC
Is it possible to update the "old" SMEG Peugeot (2017) multimedia system, i.e. upgrade or convert to the successor version? I believe there was a new system from around 2019 onwards? The current operation is so terribly slow and unfortunately, after days of study and hundreds of attempts, I have not been able to update the navigation system, even though the free update is repeatedly displayed to me... DAB radio reception would also be nice (probably with an additional receiver?!). Does anyone have any experience with this topic? I would be very happy to receive any comments! Many thanks in advance!!!!

Sorry, I made a mistake in the vehicle selection; the correct one would be 2017, Kw133, 2.0l Blue HDI
Just leave it. You'll only have problems if you get a Chinese device; you'll be missing the ventilation/air conditioning control and many other functions.
A Chinese device wouldn't be an option either; I was thinking of the successor device or software... Has anyone tried that yet, or would it even be feasible?
The tracking device is the NAC and the structure is almost identical. The device costs 600 euros and the display costs around 500 euros. Even the display cable is different. And then there are problems with the configuration. The system cannot be registered with the manufacturer because it is officially not possible and then the configuration is gone after the next update.

Unfortunately, it doesn't make sense. The costs are too high compared to the benefits. But I don't want to talk you out of it. Technically possible with a lot of coding work with the original Peugeot tester.
