Bluetooth connection problems with Sony Xperia 5 | PEUGEOT 308 CC

Hello,

I have the following problem: My mobile phone (Sony Xperia 5) no longer connects completely to the car via Bluetooth. That is: telephone via Bluetooth works, but not music.

To play music, I now drive with a second mobile phone in the car. But the problem is not permanent. Sometimes it works for 2 weeks (that I can listen to music and make phone calls with my mobile phone via Bluetooth) and then it doesn't work for 6 weeks again.

The workshop has installed the latest update and I have reset the mobile phone. No success. The workshop then said that the mobile phone is simply not compatible with the car.

When I got the car, the connection worked perfectly for about 1½ years.

There are also no connection problems with other mobile phones.

Does anyone have the same problem? Or maybe a solution?

Already checked

The user is experiencing intermittent Bluetooth connectivity issues between their Sony Xperia 5 and their car. Phone calls work, but music streaming is unreliable. They have tried updating the car's software, resetting the phone, and the workshop suggested incompatibility. The connection worked fine initially. Other phones connect without issue.

I'm afraid that's going to be it :(

Even though I was hoping for something else: Thanks for the answer 😊

Does the problem also exist with your second mobile phone? If not, check whether your Sony has such errors with other devices. Do you use WLAN (hotspot) with the Sony? If so, it is usually due to the fact that WLAN 2.4ghz and Bluetooth work on the same "wavelength". I had a similar problem with my iPhone 4s, which was only there for spotify and got internet via hotspot (WLAN). Since I only use my iPhone 12 and connect it via Bluetooth, the problem has been solved.

Hello, please delete the vehicle from your list and Google how to clear the Bluetooth cache on the phone you are trying to connect to the car. Also, check if you need to grant two separate permissions to use the device as a hands-free system and for music playback.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't done it that way before. I tried it earlier and unfortunately it didn't work ☹️ The problem is still there.

Then you should really get some new equipment 😅
